The National Symposium on Spanish as a Heritage Language (NSSHL) is an intellectual forum dedicated to advancing research and educational practices that recognize the strengths of Spanish heritage bilingualism and respond to the diverse linguistic and pedagogical needs of heritage speakers in the United States.

The 14th NSSHL will be held from Thursday, February 18, to Saturday, February 20, 2027, at the University of California, Davis. It will take place in person and follow the regular format of keynotes, paper presentations, poster presentations, and workshops to allow attendees to share ideas and knowledge about the different aspects of Spanish heritage language teaching, practices, and research.
