This year's A-Day was an amazing day packed with community spirit. The energy and excitement were felt all day around campus, and we loved seeing you there enjoying everything the day had to offer.
Thank you to all our generous sponsors, parent volunteers and everyone who came out for making A-Day a memorable and special day!
We look forward to seeing you at next year's A-Day on September 26, 2026!
On Tuesday, we honoured the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.Â
At assemblies across the school and during community time, we engaged in conversations and activities seeking new ways to deepen our commitment to Indigenous reconciliation. Our "WE CALL" art installation continues to inspire our efforts to learn from Indigenous knowledge networks and perspectives in our community.
We remain dedicated to fostering a future of reconciliation driven by our values of learning, pluralism, service, community and wellbeing.
Join us for our annual Fall Open House at Norval on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m.Â
Our Norval Outdoor School is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Enjoy the fall colours, nature hikes and opportunities to see evidence of wildlife as animals prepare for the winter. Families can also participate in a variety of outdoor activities, including a visit to our apple orchard to make cider, pumpkin painting, tree planting, and a fall scavenger hunt led by the Norval team. Stephen House will be open, with food and refreshments available.
Come join us for an outdoor day with friends and family. Dogs on a leash are welcome too!
Questions? Please contact Katarina Bojic, Community Relations coordinator at 416-488-1125 ext. 2277.Â
Directions: Take Highway 401 west to Winston Churchill Boulevard. Follow Winston Churchill Boulevard north and go through the village of Norval. Continue straight ahead. The entrance to the Norval property is on your left, 1.2 kilometres north of the village stoplight. The drive takes about 50 minutes from UCC in light traffic.
Please note that this event is rain or shine — please dress for the weather conditions.  Â
Join us on Monday, Oct. 20 as we celebrate the official launch of this year’s Festive Marketplace with our annual Light up the Avenue event.
Thanks to the partnership of the PO, PPO and UCC, the campus will once again sparkle with strands of glowing white lights from the clock tower, down the Avenue to the Prep. These lights will shine brightly through the winter months until March Break, bringing warmth, joy and festive spirit that reflects many traditions celebrated in our community, including Diwali, Hanukkah and Christmas.
Gather with us after school for hot chocolate, festive music and a special visit from our mascot, Ice. Â
Prep: 3–4 p.m.
Upper School: 3:40–4:10 p.m. (on the front steps and at the back loop).
It’s a wonderful way to connect as a community and start the festive season. We look forward to seeing you there.
Dear UCC Community,
The nomination period for two of the College’s highest honours closes on Thursday, Oct. 30 at midnight. I hope you’ll consider nominating one or more of our extraordinary community members for these awards.Â
Information regarding the nomination process and deadlines for the John D. Stevenson Award and Old Boy of Distinction Award are available on our website.
Thank you in advance for nominating fellow UCC community members and helping the College recognize the profound impact of our alumni and volunteers!Â
Sincerely,
Chanakya Sethi ’03
President, UCC Association
