Dear UCC Families,
As we settle into the winter term, we’re already looking ahead to our next academic year and sharing re-registration details below. The College’s Board of Governors, in support of delivering transformational learning experiences and best-in-class programming and facilities, has approved the operating budget for 2026–27, including tuition fees which may be found here for day students and here for boarding students.Â
Re-registration will open to families at 12 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026. Contract(s) and form(s) will be available on Bluenet at this time.
To register your student(s) for the 2026–27 school year at Upper Canada College, the following must be completed and submitted by no later than Friday, Feb. 6, 2026:Â
Re-registration Contract(s) for your student(s)
2026–27 Athletic Consent and Media Waiver for your student(s)
Please note the following:
Only one parent or guardian is required to complete these forms. The parent or guardian who completes and submits the re-registration contract(s) accepts full financial responsibility for all fees associated with the contract(s).Â
If shared financial responsibility has already been established with the College, then both parents or guardians are required to sign and complete the re-registration contract(s). Parents and guardians with shared financial responsibility will receive a contract that requires two signatures.
If there is an outstanding balance owing to the College, you will not have access to your re-registration contract(s). Please contact Colleen Papulkas to complete payment and access your contract(s) for the 2026–27 school year.
Financial assistance information has been shared with individual families who made a complete application to Apple Financial.
To sign your contract(s) and submit the form(s) please log in to Bluenet. Instructions for accessing the contract(s) in Bluenet are available here.Â
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to Upper Canada College.
Sincerely,
Felix Moses
Vice Principal, Finance
Dear UCC Community,
Thank you for supporting the Open Ice Initiative! Because of your incredible support, this year’s Hockey FUNdamentals Camp was a huge success. Your contributions allowed us to provide:
32 camper‑days of free programming
28 hours of instruction per child, focused on skill‑building, teamwork, and confidence
Full sets of hockey equipment for each child to keep
For those new to our program, the Open Ice Initiative provides children from underprivileged families with completely free access to organized hockey. Our camp offered young players on‑ice instruction, skill development, and a supportive environment to grow both on and off the ice.
These experiences gave children the opportunity to try organized hockey for the first time, creating lasting memories and building self-confidence. The impact of your support has been remarkable, and we continue to hear from families about how meaningful this camp was for their children. More information and photos about the initiative are available at open-ice.org.
Looking ahead: Expanding our reach for future camps
Building on this success, we hope to welcome even more children into the program and continue providing fully funded programming that gives children a safe and supportive environment to grow.
If you would like to help make this possible, donations can be made here, and you can apply to volunteer here.
Your support bridges the gap between opportunity and access, and we are deeply grateful to have such a generous and engaged community behind this initiative.
With gratitude,
Andrew Adair, Year 10 Student
Founder, Open Ice Initiative

UCC, the PO and PPO are delighted to welcome Jake Ernst (MSW, RSW) back to UCC on Tuesday, Feb. 3, for an evening information session on parenting in the age of AI.Â
Jake is a registered social worker, psychotherapist and the Clinical Director of Straight Up Health, a family mental health clinic in Toronto. Jake’s parent presentation, Raising Capable Kids in the Age of AI, explores how rapid advances in AI and technology are quietly reshaping childhood, not just how kids learn, but how they develop emotionally, socially and relationally. Jake’s presentation will look at the everyday experiences kids are losing when technology does the heavy lifting, including play, risk-taking, problem-solving, group belonging and sitting with uncertainty. He will connect these losses to the social and emotional muscles children need for real life, like frustration tolerance, empathy, adaptability, and emotional regulation. Parents will leave with a clear framework for what kids still need to experience offline, practical ways to reintroduce those experiences at home and at school, and reassurance that raising capable kids in an AI-driven world is less about banning technology and more about intentionally protecting their natural growth.Â
Date: Tuesday, Feb. 3
Time: 7 to 8 p.m. (doors will open at 6:30 p.m.)
Location: Weston Hall at the Prep School
This presentation is relevant to all parents with kids from SK to Year 12. All UCC parents and caregivers are invited to attend.
