Offers of admission are conditional. You must complete your offer of admission requirements and send your final grades by the given deadline.
Through July and August, UBC reviews these to ensure you:
complete your high school diploma
complete the degree-specific course requirements
maintain the level of academic standing upon which your offer was made
Changes to applicants’ level of academic standing are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Grade changes, if presented on final grades, may cause UBC to re-evaluate your application for admission
Your final average on all academic courses that you have taken in Grade 11 and Grade 12 has fallen by 2% or more.
Your final average in Grade 11 and Grade 12 courses in subjects related to your chosen degree has fallen by 4% or more.
For Vancouver campus only: Your final grades in Grade 12 English and Grade 11 English are below 70%. If final grades fall below this minimum requirement, the offer of admission will be revoked.
For Vancouver campus only: For competitive degrees with course requirements for Grade 12 English or Math (Pre-Calculus 12 for BC students), we will re-evaluate your offer of admission if your final grades have fallen below 80%.
IB Diploma
Your final IB Diploma score has fallen by 4 points or more.
Your IB scores have fallen 3 points or more on any given course.
You score 2 or lower in any given IB subject.
Your final IB scores in math or English have fallen below 4.
You have not completed the IB diploma.
Maintaining offer of admission requirements
To maintain your offer of admission at UBC, you must complete your high school diploma, fulfill degree-specific course requirements, and sustain the academic standing on which your offer was based. Changes to your academic standing are reviewed individually.

During this session, you can find out more about studying law in the U.K. and what your next steps could be after graduation. One of the University of Dundee’s academics from the Law School, Caroline Hamilton, will deliver an interactive Intellectual Property (IP) Law session on 'passing off' — the situation where one brand uses deceptive or confusing representations that confuse consumers into thinking the goods are related to a competitor's brand.
There will also be a panel with some of our current Canadian law students and one of the University's alumni, Josh Young, where you can find out more about their experiences and ask any questions.

The Undergraduate Admission Test U.K. (UAT-UK) offers three different admissions tests for entry into top U.K. universities in a wide range of subject areas. These tests aim to fairly assess the most high achieving applicants. UAT-UK aims to streamline the experience for students applying to competitive undergraduate courses.
Consult with your UCO counsellor and university prospectus pages for which courses require admissions tests in the 2026 cycle.
For 2026 entry, UAT-UK offers three admissions tests:
The Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT)
The Test of Academic Reasoning for Admissions (TARA)
The Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA)
Tests are delivered by Pearson VUE, through their global network of professional Test Centres. There are roughly 5,500 Pearson VUE Test Centres to choose from.
The ESAT and TMUA are both multiple-choice, computer-based tests. TARA will be offered for the first time in October 2025. It will consist of two multiple-choice modules plus a Writing Task.
All tests run in two test sittings per year: October and January. This thereby caters to both the UCAS equal consideration dates. The October UCAS deadline is used by Cambridge. Candidates applying to Cambridge must be sure to sit the relevant test in the first test window.
The January UCAS deadline is used by other universities. So, prospective applicants to all other UAT-UK institutions have a choice of when to sit. There is no advantage to sitting in either October or January.
There are currently seven UAT-UK institutions using one or more of these tests: Once again—consult with your UCO counsellor and university prospectus pages for which courses require admissions tests in the 2026 cycle.
