Boarding December 5, 2024
On Saturday night we took a journey to the Wonderful Land of Oz — with the not-so-wonderful Wizard in the movie musical Wicked. The story of the Wicked Witch of the West was not so easy to follow unless you are familiar with the original story of the Wizard of Oz, but the movie was an overall enjoyable experience with song, dance, comedy, and mystery.
Last weekend, several of our boarders featured in the UCC senior fall play Everybody, a dark dramedy centred around the journey of Everybody as he dies and meets figures representing the parts of his life he will miss the most. Jerry Pang (Class of 2027) played God, Lam Cao (Class of 2027) played Love, Bruce Cai (Class of 2027) played Stuff, and Angelo Braga (Class of 2025) was the stage manager for the production. After months of rehearsals, the cast and crew did a phenomenal job bringing a challenging play to life, and it is clear the future of theatre at UCC is bright with such energetic and passionate young actors in our midst.
