Come and enjoy lots of fun winter activities for the whole family to enjoy! Take part in activities such as:Â
Cross-country skiing: Bring your own or use ours. Instructors will teach beginners and lead a tour. More advanced skiers are welcome to follow one of our marked trails (trails aren’t track-set).
Tobogganing: Zoom down our popular toboggan hill in the arboretum. Bring your own or use one of ours. Please bring your own helmet.
Hiking: Winter is a beautiful time to go for a guided walk around the property. Snowshoes are available for use.Â
Bird feeder craft: Make a pine cone suet bird feeder in our classroom and hang it up outside. The Norval staff will also help you encourage our feathered friends to come eat from your hand!
Bundle up for a day of outdoor adventure with friends and family. Stephen House will be open and serving food and refreshments. Dogs on a leash are welcome (but won’t have access to the indoor spaces).
Click here to register or contact Amanda Vieira-Hasz in the Association Office at 416-488-1125, ext. 2038.
Directions:Â
Take Highway 401 west to Winston Churchill Boulevard. Follow Winston Churchill Boulevard north and go through the Village of Norval. Continue straight ahead. The entrance to the Norval property is on your left, 1.2 km north of the village stoplight. The drive takes about 50 minutes from UCC in light traffic.
This year, many members of our community will celebrate the Year of the Dragon. All parents are invited to attend our Lunar New Year lunch on February 1 in the Foster Hewitt Foundation Lounge (in the Wilder Arena) from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

We are proud to announce that UCC’s annual Mother’s Day Drive is back! Â
Â
Last year your donations meant more than 170 women at Ernestine's Women's Shelter and Women's Habitat received much loved gift bags of toiletries from their children on Mother’s Day. On behalf of these families living at the shelters and being supported in the outreach programs, as well as the staff at the shelters, we want to say how grateful we are for your generous donations that brought joy to so many moms! Â
Â
In Canada, on any given night, over 6,000 women and children sleep in a shelter because it isn’t safe at home. The pandemic saw dramatic increases in women seeking support from shelters, and with the current steep rise in the cost of food, items like toiletries are often the first to be cut from the shopping list.Â
We will be collecting full and travel/hotel sized:
soap and body wash
shampoo and conditionerÂ
body lotion and skin careÂ
cosmetics and nail polish
hair care products
toothbrushes and toothpaste
antiperspirant and sanitary products
beauty samples
small gift setsÂ
anything that a mom would enjoy to pamper herself is welcome!   Â
Your donations will be beautifully wrapped for children at shelters to give to their moms on Mother’s Day so that together they can celebrate this special day.   Â
Â
Donations can be dropped off at the reception desk in the Upper School or main office of the Prep. Please contact Linda Carvalho if you have any questions about drop-off, or Samantha Dugas if you have questions about donations.Â
