Dear UCC Families,
Welcome to the first Heads Up of the 2023–24 school year!
You’ll notice a new look to our weekly newsletter, which we’ll continue to refine to ensure it delivers the information you need in an easy-to-use format. Thanks to the many parents, faculty and staff who shared valuable feedback and helped us enhance how we share weekly updates with our school community.
While I'm planning on enjoying these last few weeks of the summer with family and friends, I'm equally looking forward to welcoming new and returning students to campus and starting our school year. There's much to look forward to this fall—from arts and athletics to clubs and House activities, I encourage all of our students to get involved in something new this term. We're here to support and guide you as you discover new passions.
As you get ready for September, I encourage you to review our 2023–24 Family Handbook and use it along with Bluenet, our parent resource boards, as your sources of information for all things UCC. Please continue to watch your email for Heads Up this month as we continue to share important reminders and information on our return to school.
I look forward to seeing many of you on campus over the coming weeks — there's lots going on as we conclude our Summer Camp program, ready classrooms and learning spaces, and put the final touches on our planning work to ensure we have a great school year.
Warm regards,
Sam McKinney
Families may now access the Family Handbook 2023–24. Note that the Handbook is also shared on Bluenet > Policies and Guides (login required).

This year’s Forest Hill/Upper Canada College Terry Fox community run will take place on Sunday, Sept. 17.
There's a lot of fun planned for a great morning with friends and family while raising money for cancer research. This year we are honoured to have Terry Fox's brother, Darrell Fox, joining us!
