On Friday of the Easter weekend, we held a cooking class in Ms. Blagona's house for seven of the boarders; students prepared herb-stuffed roast chickens, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and broccoli, making gravy from scratch themselves, and also made an English trifle. The students learned some basics about meat preparation, the science of baking and how very long it takes to make custard! This was a lovely afternoon, spending time together and sharing a home-cooked meal.
