Under the guidance of Boys Head Coach Anthony Snarski and Boys Assistant Coach Peter Sinagra, the UCHS Boys Swim Team won their first Division Championship in 2012. The Boys Swim Team won what was considered a very competitive meet against top rivals and County Champions St. Peter's Prep. It was the culmination of a very successful season that year, which saw the UCHS Boys Swim Team make it to the second round of the N.J.S.I.A.A. Tournament for the first time as well as win the County Division for the first time in Union City history.
At the start of the 2015-2016 season, the UCHS Girls Swim Team came under the supervision of Girls Head Coach Peter Sinagra, and Girls Assistant Coach Stephen Petric. The UCHS Girls Swim team finished the season with an impressive 11-1 record, and then went on to face County Championship rivals St. Dominic's Academy in what was considered a very competitive and close meet. Ultimately, the UCHS Girls Swim Team went on to capture both the All County Swimming Championship and the H.C.I.A.L. Division Swimming Championship for the first time in Union City history.
The 2016-2017 season marked the second time that the UCHS Girls Swim Team won a championship. The team finished again with a strong 11-1 record, and broke 6 out of 11 school records including one county record in the 100-Yard Backstroke. The season culminated with the girls successfully winning both the H.C.I.A.L. Division Swimming Championship as well as winning the All County Swimming Championship.
The 2017-2018 season marked the third time that the UCHS Girls Swim Team won a championship. The team finished with an undefeated 11-0 record, and broke 7 of 11 school records including two county records: one in the 100-Yard Freestyle and one in the 100-Yard Backstroke. The season culminated with the girls successfully winning both the H.C.I.A.L. Division Swimming Championship as well as winning the All County Swimming Championship.
The 2019 - 2020 season marked the 4th time that the UCHS Girls Swim Team won a championship. The team finished the season with an 8-2 record, and broke multiple school records including the 200 Medley Relay, the 200 Free Relay, the 400 Free Relay, the 100 Backstroke, and the 100 Butterfly. The season culminated with the girls successfully winning the H.C.I.A.L. Division Swimming Championship , and maintaining their dominance as the top team in Hudson County.
The 2020 - 2021 season marked the 5th time that the UCHS Girls Swim Team won a championship. The team finished the season with an impressive 10-0 record. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual Team championship was not held. Instead the team championship was decided based on a win/loss record within the H.C.I.A.L. It came down to UCHS Girls Swimming and St. Dominic's Academy facing each other for the H.C.I.A.L. championship in a duel meet between the only two undefeated schools at the time. Ultimately, the UCHS Girls Swim Team prevailed to capture the title.
The 2021 - 2022 season marked the 6th time that the UCHS Girls Swim Team won a championship. The team finished the season with an impressive 10-0 record for the second year in a row. With Covid-19 restrictions lifted, the annual H.C.I.A.L. Team Championship was held again in Bayonne, NJ. The Lady Eagles of UCHS Swimming took a decisive first place finish with a total of 539 points, defeating long time rivals Bayonne who scored 409 points.
