Dear student,
First of all we wish that you and your family are well in spite of the delicate situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Secondly, we would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in our institution to continue your academic training and for the patience you are having with all the procedures and possible complications arising from the situation in your country or in Spain.
We recommend you to follow all the health measures and instructions given by the authorities (it is possible that they will ask you for a document that proves that you are a UCAM student or that you are going to Murcia, it is important that you have this documentation at hand). From Barajas Airport there are flights to Alicante (once in Alicante there are buses that take you to the center of Murcia in 45 minutes) or you can take the direct link to the train or bus station where you will also find several options to get to Murcia. If you have any difficulties or need some advice, you can contact the UCAM educational delegate in your area.
At the moment, the pandemic situation is not ruled by the health alert system, as the COVID cases are decreasing quantitatively.

UCAM International Admissions
The University is closely monitoring developments surrounding COVID-19 and its impact on our present and future students. Our international admission team recollected the most common question that might clarify or respond your doubts regarding the current situation.
Can I get my vaccine in Spain?
The vaccination is a public health strategy and it is important to vaccinate all persons residing in Spain against COVID-19 following the prioritization established by risk conditions, exposure, age and other criteria contemplated in the Strategy.
At present, all persons included in the prioritized groups are being vaccinated, regardless of their nationality or type of insurance.

Which are considered risk countries?
The list of countries or zones at risk, as well as the criteria used for their definition, will be reviewed every seven days and updated on this web page.
What is a EU Digital COVID Certificate?
The DGC is a digital proof that a person:
has been vaccinated against COVID-19, or a
SARSCoV2 diagnostic test has been performed with a negative result, or
Have been recovered from COVID-19.
The key features of the certificate are: digital or paper format, with QR code, issued free of charge in the national language and English, safe and secure, valid in all EU countries.

How can I get the EU Digital COVID Certificate in Spain?
The Ministry has enabled a fully electronic procedure for the application and issuance of these certificates.
You can use it throughout the European Union, and in addition, the protection of your personal data and your privacy is guaranteed.

What to do in case I have a COVID-19 symptoms?
The university created the "SAS Covid UCAM" unit in order to inform and contact any incident. International students can refer directly to the following email: studentcare@ucam.edu where all instructions will be shared. You can also call the number +34 683 12 15 49.

How is the current health situation in the Region of Murcia?
The situation in the Region of Murcia is under control, thanks to the increase of vaccination and of tests per day in order to prevent massive contagions and keep our good sanitary conditions.
At the same time, the measures indicated by the local and national government are strictly implemented. To know more actual and daily information about the measures in Murcia click here.
If you cannot provide all documents required by the admissions to apply, what should you do?
As there could be delays in the homologation process and certificate legalization, it is important that you start this as soon as possible. We are being flexible with the presentation of documents, but we need to have proof that the procedure has been done.

What is the effect of the current pandemic situation on the admission process and deadline?
We offer flexibility in our current admissions process and deadline. Our Admissions team continues to consider and review all applications in a timely manner.

UCAM finances 24 research projects on Covid-19
With its own resources and through the Vice-chancellorship for Research, UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia has decided to finance 24 projects related to Covid-19. This extraordinary call has been launched at the initiative of José Luis Mendoza, president of UCAM, and with it the University keeps on contributing to regional and national development based on knowledge, thus encouraging research in the most social aspect of the pandemic.

UCAM will implement a ‘Covid free’ protocol on its campuses for the next year
UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia will implement in the next academic year 2020-21 a wide range of measures that have been included in a ‘UCAM Covid Free Protocol’, which will allow its campuses of Murcia and Cartagena to provide the best possible guarantees as coronavirus-free areas. In addition, it combines this with its “bimodal” training strategy, which brings together and adapts all the most advanced face-to-face and virtual resources, in order to combine online theoretical teaching with classes and practical lessons in small groups.

UCAM guarantees the best training for the next academic year through bimodal teaching
UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia keeps working so that its students can face the 2020/2021 academic year with all the academic guarantees and the required training level, as they are doing in this moment and as they have been doing since the state of alarm was declared due to the health crisis caused by Covid-19. For this reason, UCAM deployed a protocol with virtual tools and methodologies that includes lessons, exams, seminars, tutoring sessions and the defences of undergraduate dissertations (TFG), master's (TFM) and doctoral theses.
The Strategic Plan that UCAM has been developing for a few years allowed the implementation of a process of digital transformation that allowed its students to switch from face-to-face mode to online mode, thus complying with what is established by the curricula.
Bimodal teaching
For the academic year to come, UCAM programmes an alternative scenario that will ensure the normal development of teaching and that would adapt to the different situations that may be outlined by the health authorities. The aim is for the students of UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia to acquire the knowledge and competences foreseen by the Ministry of Education, the Autonomous Community and ANECA (National Quality Assessment and Accreditation Agency of Spain), thus guaranteeing excellency and quality.

UCAM students start volunteering in 11 cities with the most vulnerable
In a few days, 150 students have registered for this initiative of their Student Council in response to the coronavirus crisis. They are being assigned to Caritas to provide food to the families in need and to do the shopping for people with mobility problems. Others will be accompanying people remotely, including students who pursue online teachings from many different cities in Spain.
Open to new initiatives
Due to the great response that UCAM students have given to the volunteering project created by the Student Council in the face of the coronavirus crisis, the Student Council keeps the e-mail consejodeestudiantes@ucam.edu available so that non-profit organisations in the Region that wish to do so may request their collaboration, always within the criteria of security and mobility established by the state of alert.
