Basic Tenants

The three main tenets of our site have always been and will remain:

To host a summer institute through which we will introduce new teachers to the core principals of the National Writing project, assist in their discovery of themselves as writers, develop their abilities as agents of professional development, and enhance their professional growth
To continue to offer quality programs of professional development to our teachers who have attended the summer institute allowing opportunities for both learning and teaching
To offer the schools within our service area quality professional development to enhance their faculty’s professional growth as well as strengthen the teaching of writing, not only in language arts classrooms but across the curriculum as well
