The Bachelor of Pharmacy program aims to produce highly ethical, competent, and knowledgeable graduates capable of providing quality pharmaceutical services that conforms to national and international standards. The program underscores the importance of developing critical thinkers who are effective managers, educators, and skilled communicators meeting pharmaceutical needs. The first two years of the BPHA program include health science preparatory courses which are mostly general and support core courses. Years 3 and 4 include professional core courses, many of which include lab components that will allow students to develop practical/clinical competencies. Year 5 includes supervised internships I and II.
Applicants must possess a GPA of 2.5 or above in Biology and Chemistry or CXC passes at the general proficiency level in Biology, Chemistry, Math and English to be considered for admission.
The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) only has one (1) intake per academic year in August. There is NO January intake.
The University of Belize has three (3) application deadlines: (1) Early Bird – due last Friday in January (2) Regular – due last Friday in February (3) Last Call – due last Friday in May. However, all applicants to the Faculty of Health Sciences must apply by the last Friday in March.
