University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad Centre of Excellence (UASD CoE) Agri-Business Incubator (UASD-RABI) is a Knowledge Partner in RKVY RAFTAAR project among five Knowledge Partners throughout India. RKVY RAFTAAR Agri-Business Incubators (R-ABIs) who get the handholding support from UAS, Dharwad are:

1. Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Anand, Gujrat

AAU has established an Incubation Centre on Food Processing in the campus. This incubation Centre-cum-Centre of Excellence in Food Processing has been setup at the Anand Agricultural University (AAU) under the State Government scheme of Gujarat under Gujarat Industrial Policy 2009. The centre provides an excellent opportunity to develop analytical and entrepreneurial skills, knowledge through hands-on experience and confidence to design and execute project work. The Incubation centre has eight different pilot plants fully equipped with latest agro and food processing machinery. The Incubation Centre has been inaugurated by the Honble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on September, 30, 2018. RABI is the part of the College of FPTBE. The RABI is augmented with College facilities like State-of-Art NABL accredited Food Quality Testing Laboratory. Other model and modern facilities like NABL Accredited Pesticide Residue Testing Laboratory, Tissue Culture Laboratories, Biofertilizers Plant and Laboratories, Horticulture Nursery, Bakery Unit, Livestock Centre, Poultry Centre, BPD unit etc. available at Anand Agricultural University can also help in facilitating and inculcating the ideas of entrepreneurs and start-ups.

2. Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Peeth, Akola, Maharashtra

Dr. PanjabraoDeshmukhKrishiVidyapeeth, Akola was established on 20th October 1969 after the name of Dr.PanjabraoDeshmukh, the illustrious son of the soil, a great visionary, a social reformer and real friend of the farmers of their region where agriculture is mostly rainfed. The University was established with strongly committed in absorbing newer paradigms and using them to develop excellent human resource, innovative technologies and their dissemination, so as to serve the farming community of the state, region in particular and the country in general.

3. National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics (NIVEDI),  

    Bengaluru, Karnataka

 ICAR-NIVEDI is a premier national institute striving for animal health with expertise, infrastructure, national as well as international network/linkages cumulatively adds to the vibrant ecosystem for starting agribusiness, innovative technologies with entrepreneurship development. NaaVic, R-ABI at ICAR-NIVEDI is a new initiative at the most recently developed sprawling campus in the IT and BT city of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Livestock sector growing @ 5.6% per annum contributes substantially to Indian economy. India being a home to largest livestock as well as human population faces a great challenge of reducing/controlling risk of endemic and zoonotic animal diseases. In order to maintain healthy livestock sector, there is a need for development of innovative technologies in order to safe guard the health of a vibrant economy. NaaVic, R-ABI at ICAR-NIVEDI strives to fortify the nation’s animal health sector, the backbone of Indian agriculture. NaaVic, a R-ABI supports agribusiness incubation by tapping innovations and technologies for venture creation in agriculture especially animal husbandry and veterinary services.

4. ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai, Maharshtra

 ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, established in 1924, a premier constituent institute of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, is engaged in carrying out basic and strategic research in processing of cotton & its agro-residues, development of value added products and quality assessment of cotton. CIRCOT has diversified its ambit to cover other natural fibers such as Banana, Coconut etc., and started pioneering work in nanotechnology and its application in textile finishing, natural fiber based composites, and environmentally benign technology for processing cotton textiles. The institute is also working on value addition to cotton biomass through particle board preparation, compost making, Nano cellulose production, cottonseed oil etc. to provide additional income to cotton growers. CIRCOT is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute and is an accredited laboratory under NABL (ISO 17025:2005), functioning as Referral Laboratory for cotton textile.With an established reputation of nine decades amongst textile industries, ginning industries and cotton farmers as a renowned technology developer, ICAR-CIRCOT is skilfully catalyzing the transfer of its technologies from lab to startups, entrepreneurs and farmers through the agribusiness incubation center.
