What is Assistive Technology?
Assistive Technology is defined as "any item, piece of equipment, software program, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities" (ATIA, 2015)
Assistive technology can be used to help remove communication barriers, physical barries, decoding barriers, cognitive barriers, and many other barriers.
