About the Event
International Week 2026 – “Connecting People, Empowering Partnerships” is a four-day academic and networking week hosted by the Business Faculty of the University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës (UAMD), bringing together academics, researchers, international office representatives, students, and institutional partners from Albania and abroad.
Taking place on 27–30 April 2026 at the UAMD campus in Spitallë, Durrës, the event is designed as a practical platform to strengthen international cooperation, exchange best practices in higher education, and build new connections that lead to real collaboration. Through a rich programme of workshops, open lectures, thematic sessions, and structured networking, participants will explore how digital transformation and sustainability can support higher education modernisation, research excellence, and innovation-driven partnerships.
Key moments of the week include the Spotlight on Partnerships session, where partner institutions share successful cooperation models, lessons learned, and innovative examples of collaboration through short, focused presentations, as well as the speed-networking format “Questions That Move Us”, created to stimulate idea generation and meaningful dialogue through rotating hosted discussions. Topics and facilitators for workshops and interactive sessions will be confirmed in the coming weeks based on participants’ registration interests and partner availability.

In addition, the Project Showcase Session will highlight UAMD’s national and international project portfolio (research, innovation, capacity building, and institutional development), with a special focus on the NAWA project, offering participants opportunities to identify synergies and explore new joint initiatives.
Participants will receive a certificate of participation (subject to attendance and the final participant list). Travel and accommodation costs are covered by participants through their home institution’s funding sources (e.g., Erasmus+ KA171, where applicable) or individual arrangements. An info pack and suggested accommodation options will be provided upon registration.
