In this course we will work together as we form a writing community.   We will discuss social issues stemming from unique readings, discussions, our experiences, and our research. We are a diverse group with our own unique literacy and cultural backgrounds. Together, we will focus on the writing process, invention strategies, developing your writing “voice,” and revision strategies including peer review. We will be practicing writing in various genres and formats. All writing projects are designed to help students understand how to locate, analyze, and integrate sources into their writing for real-world audiences and purposes.
