Pinterest is not a social media platform, it's a visual discovery engine. I'm lumping it under social media since creating the content for Pinterest is similar to Facebook and Instagram with the same goal to drive traffic to our website. These are a few custom graphics I created in Canva to use as "pins." As you can see, I have a lot of fun with these.

April 30th (Arbor Day) 2021
Today is Arbor Day, the tree planters' holiday! π³
Arbor Day was started in 1872 by Sterling Morton a settler living in Nebraska. Like many settlers, he missed the forests of the East, so he and his wife began planting trees, shrubs, and even an apple orchard.
To his surprise, he found the treeless plains were good for growing trees. As a member of the Nebraska State Board of Agriculture, he proposed a day specifically for tree planting, with a cash prize going to the county properly planting the most trees.
Over one million trees were planted in a single day!
By 1920, over 45 states and territories were celebrating Arbor Day. Most states observe the holiday on the last Friday of April, but some continue to celebrate it at different times.
Maybe you're planting a tree today, maybe not. Either way, it's a great time to look up and appreciate the ones near you! π
