Major Assignments

Portfolio Guidelines, Tutorials, and Other Resources

This page contains basic information about completing assignments, as well as guidelines for the online portfolio. Click on the menu bar to access individual assignment guidelines.

You can find a full description of the final portfolio guidelines here at this link. This link also contains several example portfolios. The portfolio collects your major assignments for this semester and presents them along with a reflection statement. Specifically, it should contain revised versions of the following:

  1. Your synthesis essay,
  2. Research paper, and
  3. Multimodal adaptations. I've provided feedback to you on these papers through Google Docs.
  4. Special Note: We've used Google Docs this semester for drafting, so you may not have official rough drafts of your papers. As long as you have finished, revised drafts, then you're grade will be fine.

All papers must be revised and polished. Portfolios containing un-revised work will receive a low score.

You need to build your portfolio electronically, using a platform like Google Sites, WordPress, Wix, or Weebly. I advise everyone to use the new Google Sites and embed papers from Google Drive, rather than using the upload feature on classic sites. It's due on Tuesday, May 4 by 5 pm. We'll be working on these in class, but you need to also finish them on your own time if necessary.
