Each fall, teachers from around the state come to Little Rock for this event. AR AIMS works hard to bring in presenters from around the United States in order for our teachers to meet and learn from fresh voices who are influential in the world of PAP and AP English. These experts present on a nationwide forum and represent the ever-changing trends of AP English instructions for the College Board and/or NMSI.

About Our Presenters
"This was the most practical two days I have experienced. I will be taking something back to my classroom from every session. The material integrates so well to give me the opportunity to help my students on every level and show them how to show progress and have confidence for making the exam in May less stressful."
"Really engaging and helpful PD; I received resources, ideas, and practices to take back to the classroom. A+ I love how you ran the session in a way that modeled how the activity would work with our students. I hope you will be back!"
"The presenter did a fabulous job of showing instead of telling. I also enjoyed many of the technological practices that he manipulated and had us manipulate. I intend to use many of his methods. I also like much of the material of simplifying that he shared with his (i.e. - the lessons on themes, thematic statement, and thesis).
"Amazing presenter! She gave me so much information and RESOURCES that I feel I can turn around and immediately use in my class tomorrow! I only wish I had been able to attend this before school started because I feel like my kids have missed out, but I am definitely more confident about going forward."
"Our presenter was amazing! I love that he was project and activity-based with a lot of his instruction and materials. I cannot wait to use what he taught us in my on-level, pre-ap, and remediation classes!"
About the Workshop
"The 2-day is always a guarantee that I will learn more about my subject, English Literature, and more about the craft of teaching literature. This year delivered, just like always. I put the AP Lit Reading and the AAIMS 2 day on the same level for training. I am never disappointed. I look forward to it every year. Thanks for doing all you do to make it so good."
"I really enjoyed this early 2-Day Training! I feel I can work with my students better before the mock exam because there is still a lot of time before it is given to best prepare them."
“Thanks for facilitating an excellent learning opportunity. I attended a different training event this summer, and I was really disappointed. This was so much better! Great planning and execution!”
“I really appreciated the ease of technology within this workshop. I honestly was apprehensive before the sessions started and feared I would be hindered with technology issues. Boy oh boy, was I wrong! Thanks again!”
