REHAB 503 Telerehabilitation (Winter 2023) Instructor, Student Perspectives of Teaching (SPOT) Survey
Went above and beyond! ... I enjoyed Youran's lectures to show how we can be creative with telehealth.
I appreciated the fact that she provided more up-to-date research on topics that have developed more since COVID.
Very respectful and brought a good positive energy to this course!
Engagement in the forums was appreciated! Communication via eclass was always very clear.
Youran was an excellent instructor!! You provided timely and thorough feedback/responses to emails, and I felt very supported in your class. Thank you for being great!
Despite having almost 100 students enrolled, she made such an effort to reply to discussion posts with really thoughtful responses. As evidence that she was genuinely engaged and receptive with the discussion posts, she also provided the option to complete an adapted variation of the final assignment to align with some of the students' goals and preferences. Really above and beyond!
Overall I thought Youran did a really great job facilitating the course, and it was evident that she respects her students and cares about their success!
CSD 507 Phonological Disorder (Fall 2022) Guest Lecture, Bilingual Speech Assessment and Intervention.
Youran clearly has a lot of expertise in the area and yet made the topic very clear and approachable, which is so impressive for a beginning professor!!
There is a big amount of information from this lecture, but maybe as it is so nicely planned, to me, it went out very smoothly and I did not feel overwhelmed at all.
Honestly the organization of the lecture was amazing. Such a logical order, and every step gave us the knowledge we needed for the next part of the lecture.
As a bilingual student who wants to serve bilingual children in future, I personally find this lecture extremely helpful in pointing me to the things that we need to pay special attention to and also aspects that we need to consider in clinical assessment.
THERE WERE ANIMATIONS. THEY WERE CUTE. Aesthetically very good slides, very readable, very adorable.
This is one of the most interesting and meaningful guest lectures I received in this semester and it is really well presented. Many thanks to the presenter and Dr. Pollock for making it happen!
