Our psycho-social well-being pillar highlights the importance of psychological well-being and social factors in sport. We often explore aspects of well-being such as: self-compassion, self-criticism, body image, and eating attitudes.
Our women’s physical health pillar focuses on understanding the biopsychosocial experiences of menstrual function and dysfunction in sport. We emphasize the interconnectedness of physical, psychological, and social factors that can shape menstrual experiences in sport.
Our sport performance and performance perceptions pillar is concerned with enhancing women’s abilities and experiences surrounding subjective and objective sport performance. We are interested in how promoting health and well-being can positively impact athlete performance and performance perceptions. Additionally, we investigate the role of well-being and health in sport and its influence on sport performance.
