Office of the President:
As chief administrator of ChESS, the president(s) represent and advocate for the interests of other ChESS executives and chemE students on the ESS Board of Directors and during Faculty meetings. Within ChESS, the President(s) direct and work with Executive members to develop programs, functions, and sessions that further the goals of the Society in accordance with the Society’s Constitution.
About this year's Presidents:
Isabella (Isa): I look forward to my second year as Co-President of ChESS! I chose chemical engineering because I really want to work in pharmaceuticals or cosmetics when I graduate, so I figured the best way to get there is through chemical Engineering.
Ryan: I’m a 4th year chemical engineering student, and this will be my third year with ChESS. I'm looking forward to another year in the club! For fun I play soccer and video games with my friends. Also, I am a cow farmer from Saskatchewan.

Academics:
The Academics profile plans and executes programs and functions of academic nature that promotes the chemical engineering education and profession. This includes First Year Night, Student/Faculty feedback sessions, textbook exchange program, workshops/tutorials, and info sessions.
About this Year's VP Academics:
I am a 4th year Chemical Engineering Student in Computer Process Control Option and this will be my second year with ChESS. I chose to volunteer with ChESS because its really fun helping people and I get to be around people that I am comfortable with. A fun fact about me is that I got trained in martial arts for around 6 years and achieved a Black belt in Karate when I was in high school. My hobbies are listening to music and watch anime.
Communications:
The Communications profile deals with all internals and external branding, outreach, marketing for ChESS. This includes social media platforms (Instagram, Discord, website, and LinkedIn), as well as any other forms of advertisements. Cybersecurity is also inlcuded within this portfolio.
About this year's VP Communications:
I’m Isabella, and I’m in my 5th year of chemical engineering co-op. This will be my fourth year with ChESS, after previously being an AVP and Co-VP of Communications; I am also Co-VP of Communications with the Engineering Students' Society (ESS). I chose chemical engineering because of my interest in sustainability, pharmaceuticals, and energy. In my free time I enjoy reading, making art, and watching medical dramas!

Finance:
The finance portfolio maintains ChESS' financial records in accordance with the University of Alberta’s Code of Student Behavior, prepares the budget, and secures sponsorships and monetary contributions from industry for Society functions, conference delegations, etc.
About this year's Co-VP Finance:
Dale: I chose ChemE because I’m interested chemical processes and how they’re applied in the real world. In the future I want my career to focus on biochemical engineering and pharmaceuticals.
Adam: Hi my name is Adam, I'm a 4th year chemical engineering student doing the clean energy option. I chose chemE because I think chemistry is a lot cooler than physics. Outside of school I love reading, playing video games, and tennis.
Externals:
The externals profile maintains relations with representatives within the local chemical engineering industry and professional societies. They coordinate events and opportunities such as conferences, industry and research nights, company seminars, and industry tours.
About this year's Co-VP Externals:
Luke: I am a third year chemE coop student excited to contribute to ChESS event planning! I chose chemE because I find large chemical plants super interesting, especially after working as an operator this summer. Outside of school I like snowboarding.
Dennis: I’m a 3rd year chemical engineering student, and I am looking forward to my first year with ChESS!

Internals:
The internals portfolio coordinates and oversees all sales of Society merchandise, including, but not limited to: clothing, food and drink, etc. This portfolio also maintains the ChESS club room.
About this year's Co-VP Internals:
Antonio: I am a third year chemical engineering co-op student and this is my second year with ChESS. I choose chemical engineering because of the video game Nomifactory (I am not joking). In my free time I like to go to concerts and listen to a lot of music.
Sarah: I chose chemE because I've always been into innovation and problem solving, and I'm passionate about finding sustainable ways to meet everyday needs. I hope to eventually work in the cosmetic or energy industry. I also work in a lab focusing on clean energy technologies where I specifically work with electrochemical materials. Outside of school, I love to travel and bake!
Student Services:
The student services profile works with other Executives and clubs to plan social functions, such as Welcome Back Bashes, Karaoke Nights, etc.
About this year's Co-VP Student Services:
Ela: I am a 4th year bioprocessing and biomanufacturing chemical engineering co-op student. This is my 3rd year with ChESS and my first year as a VP. Outside of school, I love to bake and spend time with friends and family!
Sofia: I’m a Chemical Engineering student with a passion for both science and creativity. When I'm not studying, I love watching movies, trying out new foods, and shopping. One of my favourite movies is "Your Name"!
