The Di Trani group is a recent addition to the Biochemistry department at the University of Alberta. In this group, we use cryogenic electron microscopy, kinetic analysis, and biochemical techniques to study protein structure and function. Our primary focus is on electron transport chain complexes and other macromolecules involved in bioenergetic processes.
The Di Trani group is currently accepting applications for undergraduate researchers, MSc, PhD, and Postdoctoral researchers. If interested, please contact Justin Di Trani at ditrani@ualberta.ca
The University of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional gathering place for diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/ Saulteaux/Anishinaabe, Inuit, and many others whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community.
The Di Trani Group is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable research environment. We believe that diversity strengthens our team, driving innovation and discovery. We strive to create a space where individuals from all backgrounds feel respected, supported, and empowered to contribute their perspectives. Through our commitment to equity and inclusion, we aim to address barriers in STEM and promote a culture of collaboration and opportunity for all.
