Bahareh Abharigolsefidi (she/her) is a doctoral student in the Secondary Education program within the Faculty of Education, working under the supervision of Dr. Ava Becker. Her research interests include heritage language education, multimodality, and the use of art to support heritage language learning among plurilingual students.
Jerry Gan (he/him) is a doctoral student in the Faculty of Education, working with Dr. Ava Becker. His research interests include inclusive education and multimodal literacy, with a particular focus on the experiences of culturally and linguistically diverse students in Canadian secondary classrooms, as well as belonging and instructional support for vulnerable student populations.
Eduardo Salinas Lactaoen (he/him) is a doctoral student in the Department of Linguistics. His research primarily focuses on Filipino heritage languages, especially relating to language ideologies, ethnolinguistic identities, and discourses about Filipino languages. His secondary research concerns discursive practices and ethnography of communication in fan communities.
Mahn Hei Yu is a Master's student in the Department of Linguistics working with Dr. Yvonne Lam. His research focus is on sociolinguistics, language attitudes and ideologies, identities, and heritage languages.
