Peter George Jaminal Tian

I am the Research Director of the Division of Care of the Elderly in the Department of Family Medicine, University of Alberta (UofA). As Research Director, my main role is to support research, quality improvement, and other scholarly projects of trainees and faculty members.
I bring to work a smorgasbord of credentials in medicine, epidemiology, education, quality improvement, and project management. I finished a Bachelor of Science (BSc; Psychology), Doctor of Medicine (MD), and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees from the Philippines. From the UofA, I completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Epidemiology (Clin. Epi.) degree and a Master of Education (MEd) in Health Sciences Education (HSE) degree. Also, I completed certificate programs in quality improvement and project management from the University of Calgary and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Across the Pacific, in the Philippines, I am a Diplomate (i.e., a certified specialist) of the Philippine Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (DPBO-HNS).
