Welcome to Pediatric Hematology/Oncology!

In this website is information that you will need to be familiar with for your rotation/elective with 

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Stollery Children's hospital/University of Alberta.

Hematology rotation/elective: On your first day: Please check the Peds Hematology EMR schedule. Meet by the Heme clinics on 2E Edmonton Oilers Ambulatory Clinic in WMC at 8:30 am or that day's clinic start time, whichever is earlier. If the clinic has been cancelled or you have any questions, please page the inpatient pediatric hematologist that morning to verify the location / time of handover. (Please review the "Hematology Specifics tab" on this site)

Oncology rotation/elective: Please plan to start at 9:00 am; for the Inpatient unit please proceed to 4E3 to meet with the oncology staff. For Outpatient (clinics) please proceed to 4E2.  If you have not been scheduled in your welcome email, the oncology staff physician will direct you to start your rotation/elective on either the inpatient or outpatient service. If you are with us for a month you will have the opportunity to experience both services.
