Group events:

May 8, 2025 - We are excited to host Dr. Christine Bear (Senior Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children and Professor at the University of Toronto) on May 8, 2025 as the 2025 MPDRG Graduate Student Association Invited Speaker.  Dr. Bear's visit is funded by the Walter Mackenzie Visiting Speaker Fund.

September 12, 2024 - We had a great start with the first MPDRG Weekly seminar by invited speaker Dr. Lisa Munter from McGill University. The 2024-2025 Seminar schedule is below. 

May 16, 2024:  a great seminar by inivted speaker Dr. Sylvie Breton from Universite de Laval. Dr. Breton's visit was funded by the Walter Mackenzie Visiting Speaker Fund.

May 9, 2024: The MPDRG graduate Student Association invited Dr. Filip Van Petegem (UBC) who gave an inspiring seminar.

January 1, 2024: Welcome to Dr. Emmanuelle Cordat as the new MPDRG Director and Dr. Harley Kurata as the new Associate Director of the MPDRG.

September 7th 2023: The MPDRG Summer Student trainees did a great job at our annual research day! Well done everyone.

June 22, 2023 - We were pleased to welcome Dr. med. Nina Himmerkus who presented a fascinating seminar entitled "Electrolyte Transport in the Thick Ascending Limb - Transcellular and Paracellular Aspects"

May 4, 2023 - Dr. Emad Tajkhoshid presented his exciting work to the group.
