Program Information
Measurement, Evaluation, and Data Science (MEDS) at the University of Alberta is Canada's largest graduate program focusing on educational measurement, evaluation, and data science, with four full-time faculty members and a large alumni network around the world.
The MEDS program welcomes students to a supportive and collaborative environment, where they become an integral part of innovative research conducted by the MEDS faculty members. Students studying in MEDS find a broad range of theoretical and applied learning opportunities through research and teaching assistantships, internships, and statistical consulting.

Psychometrics - designing, analyzing, and interpreting high-quality instruments
Research Methodology - statistical methods and research design
Evaluation - the evaluation of educational and organizational programs
Data Science - educational data mining, machine learning algorithms, and learning analytics
