Human Parts
We are told to always remember the individual we are treating, to see them not as a list of diagnoses on a chart but as a human being with wants, desires, dreams, and fears. But how do we understand the individual context when the scale of the disease is so massive it almost defies reason. I chose to literally "put a face to the name(s)" using Sir Thomas Moore and obituary records from the New York Times, in hopes of providing some means to understand the scale of the pandemic's casualties and the individuals burden. Look closely at the names, and the face emerges.
