Communication Matters! is intended for educators who have little or no experience of working with children and young people who are deaf or hard of hearing (D/HH). The resource aims to develop understanding of a deaf or hard of hearing student’s needs. It introduces general educators to practical steps they can take to be more deaf aware. It includes suggestions and tips on how to ensure D/HH students have full access to the curriculum and all aspects of school life. This tutorial is one in a six-part series about educating D/HH students in inclusive learning environments.
