Cailyn Katchur, Jennifer Boadway, Ari Olivera, Tarik Reed and Lilian Axten are all 4th year undergraduate biology students. This website was created as part of the History and Theory of Biology capstone class (AUBIO 411) at the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus.
We would like to thank our professor Dr. Neil Haave for his expertise in the area of the history of biology and for his direction in guiding our research for the subsequent creation of this website.
The University of Alberta, its buildings, labs, and research stations are primarily located on the traditional territory of Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, and Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe nations; lands that are now known as part of Treaties 6, 7, and 8 and homeland of the Métis. The University of Alberta respects the sovereignty, lands, histories, languages, knowledge systems, and cultures of First Nations, Métis and Inuit nations.
