The conference takes place at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
We have a limited number of rooms at the Chateau at a special rate which includes all the meals. For this reason, please keep the following in mind:
Book a room as early as possible. You won't be charged in advance, and cancellations can be made free of charge up to 14 days before arrival.
Consider the option of sharing a room with 2 beds. Your cost will be lower, and in this way more participants can stay in the Chateau. To do this, ask for a room with two beds when making your reservation and then add your contact details to the room sharing spreadsheet. Participants might contact you directly if they are interested. Double rooms have the same rate as single rooms, so you won't pay more even if you don't find a roommate.
If the Chateau is full, you can also find accommodation in the Lake Louise Village. Details below.
Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodations with the hotel.
Reservations by email: cll.conventions.cll@fairmont.com (recommended)
Reservation by phone: 1-800-230-8988 or 1-800-441-1414 (Global reservations, open 24/7, all year)
Refer to Lake Louise Winter Institute Convention when booking
Accommodations and meals at the Chateau Lake Louise are available as a package at these special rates on a first come, first serve basis until the room block is filled or until 17th January 2026:
Single Occupancy: $485.60 CAD / night (about $350 USD or 303 EUR)
Includes all taxes and surcharges
Meal plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner for one person
An accompanying person can share the room at this rate, but they will not be part of the meal plan
Double Occupancy: $358.30 CAD / night, per person (about $260 USD or 220 EUR)
Includes all taxes and surcharges
Meal plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner for both room occupants
There are a limited number of double rooms with two beds. If you want to share a room with another participant, we recommend you book the room first and fill in your information in the Room Sharing list.
Room sharing is organized by participants themselves (organizers are not involved in assigning rooms). You can announce that you are looking for a room, or that you have a room and intend to find someone to share it with. Keep an eye on it and contact people directly if you want to share accommodation.
Staying at the Chateau Lake Louise means you are sharing meals with the participants, maximizing the time that you spend interacting with other researchers. We highly recommend you stay at the Chateau to make the most out of the meeting. However, you do have the option of booking accommodation at other hotels in the Lake Louise village. If you plan to do so, please note that the village is located about 5 km downhill from the lake and the Chateau (see this map for details). The mountain road that connects them does not have a sidewalk, and we do not recommend walking it. Participants staying at the village can ride the bus 8X (Lake Louise - Banff express) to get to the Chateau. Please note that the schedule might not align with the meeting times. The bus runs about once an hour, and the fare is $2 CAD each way, payable in cash to the bus driver. If you have opted for renting a vehicle, you can drive it to the lake and park at the lake public parking lot.
