On January 22, 2024, a team of five - Huijuan, Huixin, Hengbo, Lu, and Chengyuan - conducted a critical maintenance task for the GSR reactors for centrate treatment in Calgary. Their work involved emptying sludge from 8 cubic meter influent totes, employing siphoning to ensure efficient connectivity between the influent totes. This operation was a pivotal step in enhancing the reactor's operational efficiency and showcases their expertise in wastewater management. 

Liu Group Research Day was held on March 28th 2022, at DICE 7-395, University of Alberta, with a total of 20 group members (including professor, admin assistant, PDFs, PhDs and graduate students) participating in the conference and sharing their research areas. The research day aims to allow group members to learn more about the work done in individuals or sub-groups, share the latest results, and conduct academic exchanges.
