Paul received his Bachelor's of Science (Genetics) from the University of Alberta in 1997. He remembers getting his first email address back then and thinking it was a stupid waste of time. He carried out his PhD studies at the University of Toronto in Medical Biophysics and graduated in 2003. Paul got hooked on Hsp90 during his postdoctoral studies at the Scripps Research Institute (2003-2008) and has made it the focus of his research ever since.
