Dr. Danielle Paes is the Chief Pharmacist Officer (CPO) at the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) where she is driving strategic efforts in the areas of engagement, diversity and inclusion, scope of practice and pharmacist mental health and wellness. She holds Bachelor's and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Guelph. In addition to her genuine passion for the pharmacy profession, Danielle brings a wealth of experience to the association. Her unique portfolio gives her a pan-Canadian view of the needs and perspectives of pharmacists across Canada. Previously, she practised as a clinical pharmacist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto and has held roles in community pharmacy, industry, and academia. Danielle is recognized as a dynamic and forward-thinking pharmacist, committed to advancing the profession, engaging and supporting front-line pharmacists and advocating for the effective use of our Canadian healthcare system to help optimize patient care.



Jaclyn Katelnikoff, BSc, BScPharm, RPh

Jaclyn is a pharmacist at Saskatoon Family Pharmacy in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; before that, she managed a Pharmasave community pharmacy in Regina, Saskatchewan. From when she graduated from pharmacy school in 2009 until moving to Saskatchewan in 2021, she practiced as a pharmacist at Stafford Pharmacy in Lethbridge, Alberta. In 2013, Jaclyn obtained her Advanced Prescribing Authority and encouraged colleagues to utilize their clinical skills through public speaking. Jaclyn got her start in political advocacy when she worked with a grassroots group to organize a province-wide pharmacy walk-out in Alberta in 2018. Since relocating to Saskatchewan with her family, she has advocated for the advancement and protection of the pharmacy profession. Jaclyn is a current blog writer for the Canadian Healthcare Network, just had her first appearance as a speaker at PharmacyU Toronto, and is thrilled to be speaking at ISPW.

Sherilyn is an Associate Professor and pharmacy practice researcher at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy. Her research and teaching interests are on the implementation, uptake, and outcomes of pharmacy practice to full scope, focusing on immunizations and travel medicine. Sherilyn’s practice experience spans hospital, home care, community pharmacy, and family health team settings, including a clinical practice at an international travel and immunizations clinic.


Margie E. Snyder, PharmD, MPH, FCCP, FAPhA

Dr. Margie E. Snyder is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Purdue University College of Pharmacy. Dr. Snyder completed her Doctor of Pharmacy, PGY-1 community pharmacy residency, Master of Public Health, and community practice research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. Her scholarship is focused on community pharmacist practice advancement. Her expertise is in collaboration with practice-based research networks (PBRNs), the application of qualitative and mixed-methods, and implementation science. She founded and directs a community pharmacy PBRN (Rx-SafeNet). She is passionate about conducting pragmatic research that can inform solutions for real-world problems.

Kaitlyn Watson, B. Pharmacy (Hons), PhD, GradCertAppPharmPrac, FHEA

Dr Kaitlyn Watson is a mixed methods researcher, implementation scientist, author, academic, advocate, consultant, and is clinically trained as a pharmacist. Kaitlyn is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta focuses on social science and health service research specific to pharmacy. Dr Watson wrote the foundational book 'Disaster and Emergency Pharmacy: A Guide to Preparation and Management' and is the Founder/CEO of Disaster Pharmacy Solutions. Kaitlyn is the co-chair of the World Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM) Primary Healthcare special interest group. She employs adaptive leadership and implementation science principles to build sustainable change for pharmacy practice and healthcare in the areas of public health, climate change, disaster management, emergency preparedness, and primary care. Kaitlyn was the research lead for several studies looking at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on pharmacists, the roles they were performing, and their experiences. 



Jason Perepelkin, BA, BComm, MSc, PhD

Associate Professor of Social and Behavioural Pharmacy

Dr. Perepelkin’s research interests and expertise centre on marketing, branding, service quality, burnout and work engagement, market orientation, leadership, and pharmacy management. He teaches in the areas of pharmacy management, leadership, pharmaceutical policy, and marketing. His current research program centres on patient experiences with IV ketamine, the use of pride symbols in community pharmacies, patient-reported experience measures, succession planning for independent pharmacy owners, pharmacist knowledge of psychedelic medications, and pharmacist burnout, work engagement and occupational recovery. He is a previous recipient of the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada Innovation in Pharmacy Education Award and the Provost’s Award for Outstanding Innovation in Learning at the University of Saskatchewan.
