Francopass (FP) is intended for both for‑profit and non‑profit organizations that regularly offer French‑language activities likely to interest our users. Through FP, these organizations can promote their activities and increase their visibility among an audience that values the French language and Francophone cultures. In recent years, several local organizations have used Francopass to promote their activities, including the Alliance française of Edmonton, Campus Saint‑Jean, CAVA, the Women’s Museum, L’UniThéâtre, and the University of Alberta. To date, FP has more than 1,500 registered users.
Access to Francopass is free for non‑profit organizations. We encourage these organizations to donate (e.g., a theatre ticket) according to their means. This donation will be offered as a prize in the application to motivate user participation. For for‑profit organizations, participation in Francopass requires a mandatory contribution (the nature of which is to be discussed on a case‑by‑case basis) that will also be offered as a prize in the application. In line with the philosophy of Francopass, each contribution benefits everyone.
As a Francopass partner organization, you are required to:
Offer on a regular basis French‑language activities tailored to FP users' interests
Print the small posters with the activities’ QR codes that will be emailed to you, and display them prominently at the event venue during the activity so that FP users can scan them
Indicate to users where the QR code is located at the event site
Communicate with the Francopass team when needed
You will be able to add your own events directly in the application after completing a short training. The Francopass team reserves the right to end any collaboration with an organization that does not fulfill its responsibilities.
