Edmonton Doctor's Curling League
Participation in the Edmonton Doctor's Curling League is free and it's a great way to de-stress and network with Edmonton area physicians.
Med students and residents curl on a drop-in basis. There are dedicated teams but you only sign up to play the weeks that you are available. There is a sign-up sheet a couple days before each game.
The location is at the Granite Curling Club (8620 107 St NW, Edmonton, AB) once weekly on Wednesdays @ 7:15pm from October 9, 2024 to March 5, 2025 (off for winter break and reading week)
I've been informed that no experience is necessary, and the activity is very beginner friendly! All that's needed is a clean pair of shoes to participate. All other equipment will be available at the curling club

36th Annual Cardiovascular Update Conference
The CK Hui Heart Centre is proud to host the 36th Annual Cardiovascular Update for the Practicing Physician on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The conference will be held at the NAIT Productivity and Innovation Centre, located at 10210 Princess Elizabeth Ave. Parking is complimentary with your registration.
This one-day course will provide participants with practical and up-to-date information on the management of cardiac problems. Participants will engage in a combination of interactive case-based workshops, presentations, as well as opportunities to network with colleagues and faculty.
Hot topics relevant to your practice include Women’s Heart Health, Innovation in Heart Disease, Postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS), and more!
