ConnectCare

ConnectCare is the new common provincial clinical information system based on the EPIC software, which will be implemented Alberta-wide across multiple institutions in the province of Alberta. Currently, the University of Alberta Hospital is the first site of implementation and if you rotate there, you will be expected to use this in the intensive care unit. Below, we have compiled a short guide on how to manage patient flow in the ICU, whether that including admitting from the ward or ED or transferring out.
