Study: Talking and Drawing

What is this study about?

• We want to determine how beneficial a home to preschool activity is for promoting preschool children’s spoken language and early literacy skills. The activity involves the parent supporting the child to draw a picture of a recent family event and talking about it. The child takes the drawing to preschool and talks about it with the teacher and/or classmates.

Who was in this study?

• Children who are 4 and 5 years of age.
