RAN at UAH strives to offer community calendar features on our website to inform people of opportunities to attend and support autism related events and efforts. This includes events intended for self-advocates, caregivers, families, and professionals. Event submissions will be accepted for in-person autism-related activities as well as online opportunities. Staff will review all submissions before posting to the calendar.

North Alabama Autism Community Calendar Submission Guidelines

The Regional Autism Network at UAH welcomes submissions for a North Alabama Autism Community Calendar. To ensure that events are relevant, accessible, and applicable to families or professionals, please review the following guidelines: 

Event Requirements

• Autism-focused or inclusive of all disabilities in purpose or programming.

• Open to the general public

• Location: If the event is in-person, it must occur less than 50 miles from North Alabama’s Region 1 counties to be included.

Submission Requirements

• Requests must be submitted by an event organizer.

• Submit a minimum of 2 weeks before the event date. 

• Events are posted weekly.

• Posts may be delayed during university holidays or breaks.

• Each question on the form must be answered. Indicate if Not Applicable (N/A). Incomplete requests may not be posted.

• RAN reserves the right to edit event descriptions for clarity or space.

• Share a method for people to get more information or up-to-date announcements.  Please note that email addresses will not be displayed publicly on the calendar.

After Submission

• Once your event has been posted, you will receive an email confirmation. Please review your calendar entry and reply if corrections are needed.

• Organizers must notify us if details change, such as the time, location, or in the case of a cancellation. Families rely on accuracy.

An event posted on the Community Calendar does not imply endorsement by RAN at UAH.
