Jennifer Patrice Sims is a US-based sociologist. Taking mixed-race populations as her focus, her research examines racial construction, perception, and identity in the US and UK as well as interrogates how knowledge about race is produced and disseminated. 

Dr. Sims provides academic book proposal reviews to aspiring authors, is a member of the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run of North Alabama (GOTR), and is a coffee loving  Dance Mom.

She completing her Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014, previously worked at UW-River Falls, and is presently an Associate Professor at (but of course does not speak on behalf of) the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
