Dr. Ana Wooley is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (ISEEM) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. She completed her PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Auburn University in August 2023 and she holds a Master's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the same institution.
Dr. Wooley has actively engaged in collaborative projects with industry partners, such as Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, where she developed Value Stream Maps to identify inefficiencies and waste within the engine plant's processes. She has also contributed to the design and implementation of complex simulation models aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Prior to joining UAH, she has served as a teaching assistant at Auburn University, instructing courses on manufacturing systems and introducing students to industrial and systems engineering concepts. Her diverse industry experience spans over three years, during which she has successfully improved manufacturing processes and procedures in various sectors, including energy, education, and automotive.
Dr. Wooley’s current research focuses on digital twin development, smart manufacturing, simulation, and seamless integration of these technologies into manufacturing systems.
She is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join her research team for a PhD position focused on advanced manufacturing. Applications details are found here.
