Bacteriologist Parasitologist Chemist graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH-FCQ). Thanks to a CONACYT scholarship I did an Integrated Doctorate (NRPhD) at the University of Nottingham, England in the area of ​​Immunology and Allergy, at the School of Molecular Medical Sciences, and the Institute of Genetics of the School of Biology. In 2012, I concluded my research project on the evaluation of antibodies in mouse models of malaria at the Tropical Medicine School of Liverpool, England, under the supervision of Prof. Richard J. Pleass. That year I returned to Chihuahua to start a postdoc (again, thanks CONACYT!) in the biological evaluation of essential oils of plants endemic medicinal plants in malaria models, under the supervision of Dra. Vicky Nevárez-Moorillón. In 2015, I was selected (1 of 16 international students) to take the summer course "Biology of Parasitism: Modern Approaches" in Woods Hole, MA, at the University of Chicago-Marine Biology Laboratory. I have taken some professional development courses at the University of Georgia, USA (EuPathDB workshop), and the National Institute of Public Health, at its headquarters in Cuernavaca, Morelos and at the Regional Center for Public Health Research, in Tapachula, Chiapas. My research interests are vector-borne diseases, particularly those transmitted by ticks, P. vivax malaria transmission in North Mexico, as well as seroepidemiological studies. At the moment, I'm studynig a Masters of Public Health at the INSP (2020-2022).

I'm currently the Academic Coordinator of the Postgraduate and Research Department at UACH-FCQ. SEP-PRODEP profile (2019-2021). Head of the Research Group: CA-131-Microbiology in Health and Environment, (grade: "Consolidated" SEP-PRODEP, until 2024). Member of CONACYT's National System of Researchers (SNI), Level I (2014-2022).
