Washington Central Supervisory Union is committed to supporting new teachers. To that end, we have established the WCSU Mentoring Program. Our mentor coordinators for 2018-2019 are Sam Gelfon, music teacher at East Montpelier Elementary School, and Adrian Wade-Keeney, art teacher at U-32 Middle/High School.
This site contains the information that mentors and new teachers will need to access during our summer training days.
For the 2018-2019 school year, mentor training will take place on Friday, August 17 in Room 128 at U-32 Middle/High School from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. followed by a mentor/mentee meeting from 12:00-3:30 p.m.
New teacher orientation will take place on Wednesday, August 15, Thursday, August 16 and Friday, August 17 in Room 131 at U-32 Middle/High School from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (including the mentor/mentee meeting on Friday, August 17 from 12:00-3:30 p.m.).
Coffee will be provided. Lunch is on your own; please plan to bring your lunch each day.
Please also bring an electronic device each day so that you can access all training materials.
If you have any questions or concerns about mentor training or new teacher orientation, please contact Jen Miller-Arsenault, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 229-0553 x310.
