Washington Central Unified Union School District is committed to supporting new teachers. To that end, we have established the WCUUSD Teacher Mentoring Program. Our mentor coordinators for 2025-2026 are Heather Bower, first and second grade teacher at Rumney Memorial School, and Jade Walker, school counselor at U-32 Middle/High School.
This site contains the information that mentors and new teachers will need to access during our summer training days.
For the 2025-2026 school year, mentor training will take place on Wednesday, August 20 in Room 120 at U-32 Middle/High School from 8:00 a.m.-11:45 a.m. followed by a mentor/mentee meeting from 11:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Elementary mentors and mentees may choose to meet in their respective elementary schools.
New teacher training will take place on Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21 in Rooms 128/131 at U-32 Middle/High School from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (including the mentor/mentee meeting on Wednesday, August 21 from 11:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m.).
Please bring an electronic device (preferably your school-issued laptop) each day so that you can access all training materials.
Coffee and lunch are on your own. Please plan accordingly.
If you have any questions or concerns about mentor training or new teacher training, please contact Jen Miller-Arsenault, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, at jmillerarsenault@u32.org or 229-0553 x1310.
