What is Makerspace? Makerspace is a time for students to explore and create for themselves. Each Makerspace session will focus on creating using specific materials and will run about 5 to 6 weeks and are open to 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade students. The Unified Arts teachers are organizing and managing Makerspace this year.
When is Makerspace? Makerspace will meet in the EMES Library on Wednesdays at lunch and recess.
Session 1: Cardboard construction and Pop-up Paper Cards
Oct 5 to through Nov 9

In addition to students building fabulous cardboard creations, we also explored pop up crafts. Students looked at popup books and learned how to make 3 different kinds of pop cards. Click the links below for tutorials on the pop up crafts we made in Makerspace.
