Scholarship Name: Adoption STAR scholarship

Criteria- Recognizes students who were adopted who are pursuing college degrees.

Scholarship Name:  Morrison Tech
Criteria-  If you are a senior planning to attend Morrison Tech, please see your school counselor about being nominated for this scholarship.



Scholarship Name: Missouri State's President's Scholarship 

Criteria: (5) Top applicants each year and starts at $10,000, growing to a total of $43,000 over four years.  Students with a 3.9 high school       GPA with no ACT or SAT score or a 3.75 high school GPA with a 31 ACT/1390 SAT are eligible to apply.     Joanne Pransky Celebration of Women in Robotics

    Amount: $3,000

    Application Deadline: Feb 29, 2024

    Eligibility: Any female-identifying high school or two or four-year undergraduate student who is interested in working in robotics may apply       for this scholarship.



AMDA College of Performing Arts- AMDA scholarships encompass a range of institutionally funded awards, based on talent, need, and       merit. These scholarships are granted to students following a comprehensive evaluation of their audition, application, and FAFSA results. 


    Illinois School Counselor Association (ISAC) Scholarship-

The applicant must be graduating from high school in 2024. At least one school counselor at the applying student's high school must be an ISCA  member. The applicant must be enrolling in one of the following post-secondary options: 4-Year College/University, 2-Year College/University, Trade  School, or Apprenticeship/Vocational Program. 

Credit Professionals International- (2) $1,000 scholarships, 500 word essay "The cost of higher education is an ever-increasing burden on students and their families.  What is a reasonable method for funding/financing your education (savings, jobs, parental contributions, student loans, etc.)? What is the long-term cost to your future when using student loans to aid in your quest for higher education?"  Deadline: April 15 Print form here.


Elks Lodge Scholarship- Attached you will find an application for the Galesburg Elks Lodge #894 Scholarship. Applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee followed by a personal interview with the committee. Scholarships awarded can be up to $1000. The scholarship will be sent directly to the school for the 1st semester. You are eligible to receive the scholarship once. Please send your transcripts and SAT score.

Karna Foster Impact Scholarship- Scholarship opportunity to high school seniors attending Monmouth-Roseville, United or West Central High school.  Interested applicants will submit an application and essay to Midwest Bank by March 15th, 2024; detailing their community-based involvement. One winner will be chosen in May 2024 to receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship to assist with college funding. Jack Brokaw Scholarship- Open to students pursuing a non- 4 year degree, or other certificate programs. Open Feb 1- May 1.  Application linked.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation- Adjusted Gross Income for 2022 Federal Income Taxes must not exceed $100,000, scholarship up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 semesters, open to high school graduates, 3.5 GPA, enrolling in college or university in the fall, must have a 4 year graduation plan for college, must work 240 hours prior to the end of the fall semester of college.  Deadline: March 1, 2024.

     Farmers State Bank of Western Illinois- Awarding (4) $2,000 scholarships, open to United seniors pursuing education beyond high school, application is   linked in the title, Deadline: March 15 (Return application to your counselor).

Horatio Alger Scholarship-  Open to juniors who have overcome adversity in some way, critical financial need.

Illinois DCFS Scholarship- applicants must meet one of the following criteria: the Department has court-ordered legal responsibility for the applicant, or the applicant aged out of the Department’s care at age 18 or older, or the applicant who was formerly under care has been   adopted or placed in private guardianship. Deadline: March 31, 2024

Becky Carlson Scholarship
Seniors at United High School or Monmouth-Roseville High School are encouraged to apply for the Becky Carlson Scholarship. Applicants must be a United High School or M-R High School Senior and have participated in the Special Education Program as K-12 student.

   Helen H. Wetherbee Nursing Scholarship
        Applicants must be accepted into a school of nursing or currently studying under a nursing program. This scholarship is open to Knox and Warren County area students.

   John E. Bohan Excellence in Athletics Scholarship
    High school seniors from United High School and Monmouth-Roseville High School are encouraged to apply for the John E. Bohan Excellence in Athletics Scholarship. This scholarship is open to senior athletes who have been accepted into a collegiate program of study. Preference is given to United High School football players.

   

   Steve McBride Scholarship
    This scholarship is awarded to two graduates of United High School who are residents of North Henderson, Suez, Kelly, or Spring Grove townships. Applicants are judged based on written application and in-person interviews with the Steve McBride Scholarship committee. The award is given to the most deserving seniors at United High School.

   

   The Lyle Pierce Athletic and Leadership Scholarship
        Applicants must be Warren County high school students that demonstrate leadership and perseverance on and off the playing field. Applicants must  have participated in athletics and plan to attend a four-year college or university and major in education.


     Julia E. Thomas Scholarship -  The Julia E. Thomas Scholarship, presented by the Chapter T, P.E.O. of Kirkwood, Illinois is available to any United Senior Girl continuing their education.  This scholarship is in the amount of $500.00. Deadline: March 31

Matt Repp Memorial Scholarship - The Matt Repp Memorial Scholarship is presented by the family and friends of Matt Repp and is available to any United Senior continuing their education. Deadline: March 31

Mercer County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship- Open to Mercer county seniors pursuing a degree in Education. Deadline: April 1, 2024.

JDK Scholarship - Three $250 scholarships that will be awarded to students from either Monmouth-Roseville, United, or West Central. Deadline is April 5, 2024

Henderson County (Illinois) Central Committee and Republican Women’s Club- The Scholarship amount this year is $1,000.00. Deadline: April 5 


 PEO Book Scholarship - Chapter G P.E.O. is offering a book scholarship to a graduating senior girl from United High School who plans to attend college. Deadline: April 15

Women's Issues Network Scholarship- Scholarship is eligible to a high school senior attending a school within a 30 mile radius of Galesburg. Application must include an essay and two written references from non-family members. More details can be found HERE Deadline: April 30

   Mellinger Foundation Scholarship- Applicants eligible to apply for a Mellinger Scholarship must be an undergraduate student and live in one of the following Illinois counties: Warren, Henderson, Knox, Mercer, Fulton or McDonough.  Applications can only be downloaded/requested and submitted between February 1st and May 1st of each year.  Applications received from outside our geographic area or our application period of February 1st to May 1st will NOT be considered.

Alfred L. Freeberg Scholarship - Scholarship is eligible to a United High School graduate with at least a C+ grade average and a resident of the Village of Kirkwood for at least one year. Deadline: May 3

     Cat Zingano Overcoming Loss Scholarship -Amount: $10,000; Eligibility: Any student who is fighting through their own loss of a close family      member, legal guardian or loved one, and is in need of  financial support for their education as they move forward. Application Deadline: Jul     20, 2024

    Justin Dell Scholarship- Due April 5, Return to your school counselor; Short application and 500 word essay required. Open to current          seniors.

Monmouth Area Vocational Scholarship Application-  Application linked in the title, this scholarship is for seniors pursuing vocational  

programs/skilled trades, Due April 12 to your high school counselor.


Charles and Goldie Sabbath Scholarship-  This scholarship is renewable for up to (4) years, but students must complete the form annually         and submit their class schedules by the deadline dates listed each semester. To qualify for the scholarship, you must: Reside within the              boundaries of the former Alexis School District, have attended United High School for a minimum of two years, be a graduate of the United       High School after 2005, plan to continue your education, complete and submit the application form by May 15, be in compliance with all            deadline dates.

Monmouth Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #265- $500 scholarship, High School Senior residing in Warren County pursuing a degree in            Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice. Deadline: April 22, return to Monmouth Police Department at 500 S Main St. in Monmouth.


Ag Related Scholarships 

Tri-County Cattlemen's Association Scholarship: The Tri-County Cattlemen’s Association will award six scholarships of $1,000 to eligible students and one $1500 scholarship in honor of Casey Krieg. To be eligible, you must meet and complete the following requirements:

I.  You must be a high school senior who is a resident of Henderson, McDonough, or Warren County AND plan on attending a two year college, four year university, or trade school.

II.  You must be an active member of your county's 4-H, local FFA chapter, or be enrolled in an agriculture education course.

Wilson-Schweitzer Foundation was created in 1990, by the survivor of a Warren Country farming couple in recognition of the increasing importance of education in agriculture. The Foundation gives scholarship preference to applicants residing in Warren or Henderson Counties in Illinois who plan to major in agriculture and agricultural related fields.  Deadline: Feb 29
