The evaluation process was done in three phases:
The user is given a summary of the functionality of the site and its purpose. They are then given time to run-through and explore all aspects of it on their own.
Afterwards, they are interviewed and asked the questions provided relating to their experience, thoughts, and opinions of it.
Finally, another run-through is conducted alongside engagement from the interviewer. This is used to build upon the original feedback given by the user with more clarification, depth, and purpose.
What are some immediate thoughts you have about your experience interacting with the site?
I think there should definitely be a home button. I like the color scheme a lot and how simple it is.
How easy or difficult did you feel it was to navigate between pages?
Should add a home button because “People are dumb.” Pretty easy otherwise.
Were there specific pages or components you found to be awkward or confusing?
Just how the sign up is with like new client and stuff and how existing and new clients mix.
How easy or difficult was it to interpret graphs, charts, or other information you encountered on the site?
The bars were confusing in how they shifted from left to right. Honestly just ask about the bar and percentages. There needs to be an obvious and clear explanation of any graphic that is used. There needs to be clearly said “you fall under blah blah percentile which means this”.
What are some words you would use to describe the overall look and feel of the application?
It has a good color scheme. On brand.
Are there any suggestions or changes you have in mind that would make for a better user experience?
Explain my score modal actually explains where insert latin text is and also have bars occurring on the same side or at least text at the bottom or top that explains the bars and then each category has its own respective explanation.
Are there any other thoughts you have?
Other than what I said before, not really, no.
What are some immediate thoughts you have about your experience interacting with the site?
The design makes sense. I think that there should be a home button. I think Parkinson's develops in older people so their ability to use the internet is different.
How easy or difficult did you feel it was to navigate between pages?
It’s pretty easy and straightforward in all honesty.
Were there specific pages or components you found to be awkward or confusing?
None.
How easy or difficult was it to interpret graphs, charts, or other information you encountered on the site?
I don’t understand the bars. It’s out of 100% but why do the sides flip? What are the percentages for and why do you show both percentages of the 100%? I think there needs to be more information so it’s clearer why it came to the conclusion it did.
What are some words you would use to describe the overall look and feel of the application?
I like the color scheme and layout a lot. It’s pretty simple.
Are there any suggestions or changes you have in mind that would make for a better user experience?
You have to consider that not everyone has the statistical background to look at numbers like these and understand it so the numbers also need to be more thoroughly explained as well as explaining a normal distribution.
Are there any other thoughts you have?
Not really it just seems like any other normal website. I do think you should consider how you represent the numbers and presenting the information to any of the patients. I’m sure y’all are thinking of that already. I think the point I made about the statistics might be helpful to think about, though.
What are some immediate thoughts you have about your experience interacting with the site?
Looks really user friendly and easy on the eye (the graphics, fonts and color) and the information is really important
How easy or difficult did you feel it was to navigate between pages?
Very easy to navigate. PARK icon on top was good.
Were there specific pages or components you found to be awkward or confusing?
Clinicians page may need a better explanation of "my" score.
How easy or difficult was it to interpret graphs, charts, or other information you encountered on the site?
Graphs very easy, and scaling option was great. Graphics for explanations were very clear.
What are some words you would use to describe the overall look and feel of the application?
Feels modern and classy. “It feels like something you could drive to prom in,”
Are there any suggestions or changes you have in mind that would make for a better user experience?
Maybe make the videos during the recording bigger and make the prompts continue to exist.
