Below are the following courses with reflections and insights from my Media and Politics minor at Northwestern University in Qatar:
The Exploring Global Media course discusses global uses of production and distribution of media content, and to understand the relationship between global media, cultural, political and economic dynamics.
The History of Film course discusses the introduction to world film history from the 1890s to the present. The goal of this course is to expand on the histories of film in contemporary film cultural and political productions.
This course looks at media artifacts and practices that are far from the category of mainstream corporate media. Looking into this course, the theoretical approaches to alternative media is studies, in addition to reading through different alternative media in Middle Eastern societies and lastly looking into present alternative media actions taken by those societies.
