Welcome to the Pollinators Project site! This project is designed to enrich learners with an understanding of the value of pollinators and how we can better protect and support them.
If this is your first time delivering instruction in the PBL format, here are some resources to get you comfortable with the concept. Managing a PBL course fundamentally shifts the role of the instructor from "Sage on the Stage" to the "Guide at the Side," handing significant control over the process to the learners. This resource list focuses on how to best fulfill that new role in a productive and rewarding manner.
Project Management for Education (Getting Smart)
A note on differentiation: Learners may come to this course with varying levels of skills and prior knowledge. Since this course includes a lot of collaboration and small-group work, take the opportunity to partner people to best round out their strengths. For example, partner less experienced naturalists with more experienced ones, partner someone with great drawing skills but perhaps lower level writing or presentation skills with a good complement.
