Differentiated Instruction and Accessibility
Since every year's group of students is different, it's essential to make sure you get to know your students' needs to be able to meet them. Here are some ways to address the need for differentiated instruction during this project.
Padlet and StoryJumper have the option to be able to record students who might be having trouble with writing.
For ESL students, the Understanding Check-In allows the teacher to see how they are doing without drawing too much attention to that student. Another measure is when creating the vocabulary wall, the teacher can incorporate some words in the student's native language.
For students having a hard time reading, having informational videos allows them to still participate in the project's research part.
Checking in with the Special Education teacher for any students that might need specialized instruction so everyone is on the same page about how to help that student best.
